Remember when Taylor was the next elite player, but he was scrutinized for his "bad" passing? One year later, during the olympics, he was the best passer in the world, statistically. Pretty cool...

I'll humble-brag here for a sec... I was friends with Jake's, sister's husband. We all played vball together in Provo. They called me on a Saturday morning years ago to help set for his brother in law, and that they'd record it and send the tape to BYU in hopes he could make the BYU team. It was for Jake. He had just graduated high school and was gonna leave on a mission soon. So we all went to a chapel in Orem and recorded about 30 mins of him hitting and passing. He was totally raw and I had no idea really at that point what he'd become, but it was fun to at least help the kid out. I'm sure he won't remember me if I stared him in the face today...
