We've toured about 10 homes in the last couple of days. To our amazed delight, we found one that my wife and I both immediately fell in love with (stupidly). I honestly didn't think it would be possible for me to actually feel such an overwhelming desire to move into a place, but it happened. The house is 40 years old, but immaculately updated and extremely well built in the first place. I could find no fault. I also didn't think it would be possible for a house to fit our needs and tastes so perfectly. Even better, it has been on the market for the last month, and the seller seems motivated, having dropped the price 3 times during that span to a perfectly reasonable price.

We made an offer today, only to be notified that they had received multiple offers today and that we have till midnight Monday night to submit our "best offer" for them to review and choose...

I hate this crap.
