same in almost every situation. The point is just bc it isn't your exp.
does not make it real. Those that experience or are shaped by it have more knowledge about it than outsiders. Which is why it matters which group someone is in.

For example, many First Nations and American Indians are not offended by "Redskins"- they reasonably have more knowledge about the situation than those offended but who aren't.

Similar in this situation- it's easy to downplay other forms of discrimination when it does not directly affect you.
