doesn't contribute or pan out as expected. Makes it so the other players are aware they need to work. If contributing, I don't have a problem keeping a guy on the roster for 5 years. Bronco stopped redshirting to keep from having so many guys that don't contribute taking up a scholarship for 5 years, but a better solution is to redshirt, then cut them off at the end. That way you get the best years out of guys that do develop, rather than using a year for a guy to play 5-10 special team plays at the end of the year.
