YES, super excited
When Brown came on his official visit a few weeks ago I got really excited. These last few years, BYU has missed this type of 3 and D great athlete. We have had too many combo guards who all want the ball in their hands and are scorers. Of course, we need really talented scorers who are the alpha dogs. But, BYU also really needs the Winder, Abouo, Jackson Emery type of guys who are elite athletes and defenders first. BYU has not been able to stay in front of guards and wings in the last 3 or 4 years.

Hardnett and Brown could be the exact type of role players that this team needs. Hopefully, it allows TJ Haws, Emery and Bryant to be unleashed as star scorers. Hopefully the defensive effort is also contagious. Even without Mika, I really like the makeup of this roster.

Rotation Prediction:
Guards (120 MPG): Hardnett, Haws, Emery, Bryant, Seljaas, Brown
Forwards (80 MPG): Childs, Dastrup, Andrus

I kind of expect BYU to go more to position less basketball this year. There will be 3 guards and 2 forward spots. I expect most of those to be interchangeable on offense. I don't expect guys like Bergersen, Nixon, Worthington or Shaw to be part of the regular rotation. They will probably see the floor due to foul trouble or injuries. I am also not very comfortable with those last 4 playing at a high level.

But, those top 9 rotation players look really, really good. We added a knockdown catch and shoot guy in Seljaas, a pure distributor and ball handler with elite quickness in Hardnett and a true 3 and D guy in Brown. Then Dastrup and Andrus have serious length and can shoot the ball. Dastrup could be the key and I confess that I still expect him to be a Star.
