Struggling to seal a leaky gas tank in the pickup.

Do I have to empty the gas tank? All the epoxies say that I don't have to but none of them will stick to the tank very long while the tank is still leaking.

Also, the is pin sized. Should I drill a slightly bigger hole so the epoxy can fill the hole better?

Have you considered welding something to it first to stop the leak then epoxy it

If it's dry I'd epoxy the crap out of it with the appropriate stuff.
