Fall 2004. We were living in SL valley and my wife was agnostic in the rivalry despite growing up in a pro-BYU family. My little girl (5) was a bit out spoken in her support for the Cougs but respectful to all.

One Sunday after a loss we were in the pew awaiting start of church and a known ute fan approached and got in close to my kids, flashed a Miami hurricanes hand sign at them, and sneered "Go Utes!" From that day forward my wife has been a full supporter of season tickets, gear, and road trips to BYU games. She is so gazelle-intense that she wants the U to lose at everything. She is anti-Utefan more than anti UoU.

Thanks Brother Ute-fan. You accomplished in two words what 10 years of marriage hadn't.
