didn't matter. Two summers ago I disturbed a wasps nest without realizing it and was stung 5-6 times before I knew what happened, within 3-4 seconds. Anyway, I didn't feel well, a lot of it anxiety. But that's a tough deal being on a kayak with kids. Sounds like he did everything he could to protect the kids and probably took the brunt of the stings.
