Since the blockchain is public you can easily look and see where all of your
bitcoin is and whether or not it has been moved anywhere else. If I recall correctly, last time I checked all of mine was still sitting at the same address I transferred it in at. I don't think coinbase goes shuffling it around on the back end. Especially since they don't pay interest.
