Ty understands the importance of liberal use of TEs to open up vertical (WRs) and horizontal (RBs) SEAMS so that these athletes have more space to work in to get open or operate in greater space to 'get more yards' after the catch.

If the more liberal use of 'Athletic' TEs is successful, then opposing defenses (namely LBs and DBs) will be forced to account for (cover) the TEs and therefore create more space on the field for WRs and RBs to produce greater yards per play.
