Listen, I get your point kind of. I don't agree, but I get them.

here is my problem:

1) Consider the situation (Staley is essentially like the Prodigal Son trying to make his way back)

2) Given the history, a former player ON BYUs FLAGSHIP TV SHOW proceeds to rip him

It just looks bad and isn't right. In a lot of ways I agree with BPop that Staley isn't the GOAT at RB. But no need to tear a guy down for it. I don't hear him ripping Curtis Brown, Harvey, Fui, Kariya, or DiLuigi.

Staley at least statistically, had the greatest years in BYU history. He average more than 10yds a carry (in his Doak winning year)! Can you believe that, and who knows how much higher that would have been had he not scored so many TDs. I am sure he had weaknesses as a player, most all of them do.
