alumni bases but not nearly as spread out across the world as BYU. And another important piece is how passionate the fanbase is and how willing they are to get out and go after stuff like this. I have no doubt that there are business executives and diplomats from all of the Ivy League schools and other programs like Duke, Michigan, Notre Dame, Stanford, etc. living all over the world, but I would guess that most of those esteemed individuals would not care enough to even know that an event like BYU50 was even happening. And if they did find out somehow, they would consider it beneath them to participate.
