Am I already 40-50 yards downfield?

In my current condition, my 40 time is a blazing 9.3 seconds. If I'm completely undefended at the start of the play but still have to run 40-50 yards to catch the ball, I probably won't still be wide open when the ball arrives.

On the other hand, the OL will have plenty of time to catch up with me and escort/carry me into the endzone.

So sure, throw the pass!
