I once spoke with a young attorney who found a way to beat his student loans.
This was a little shy of a decade ago and we were both on break at a deposition, along with a few others. While he had an audience, he enthusiastically (and very seriously, I might add) explained how we was going to continue to take the minimum number of credits he needed to at the local community college to continue to defer paying his student loans into perpetuity. He said he planned to do this until he was either rich or dead. I thought it was one of the worst ideas I had ever heard. I sometimes wondered what happened to that kid. I suspect his accrued P&I should be breaking seven figures around now.
