If you think of Jarom as Michael Scott - it's easier to digest him
Match the BYU Media Personalities with their Celebrity Twin
Spencer Linton = Leslie Knope from Parks and Rec
Leslie is described on Wiki as extremely cheerful, ambitious, hard-working and optimistic. Although somewhat naive at times, she is intelligent, well-read, and has good intentions, but is not always successful in executing her goals. She repeatedly tries to put a positive spin on failure, even to the point that she will occasionally distort the truth in her own view.
Sound like Spencer a little? Despite the Pollyanna, optimistic approach, I really like Spencer and think he is the perfect representative for BYUtv.

Greg Wrubell = Screech from Saved by the Bell
Greg is a smart guy. He is hard working and BYU fans get loads of good information from Greg. Like Screech fans from other schools make fun of him and give BYU fans a hard time about Greg. But Greg is ours and he feels like family. He does a great job in preparing for broadcasts and genuinely cares about BYU, the players and coaches. He is a loyal guy. There is a nerd-factor that comes across when Greg is on Twitter and I cringe whenever he starts posting opinions or gets drawn into arguments or begins posting on women’s soccer or hockey. Sometimes I wonder if he ever played a sport based on his Twitter posts. Yet, when he sticks to numbers and stats he is solid and like I said, he is ours.

Jarom Jordan = Michael Scott from The Office
As strongly as I feel Spencer matches up to Leslie Knope, I’m even more convinced Jarom is Michael Scott. Like Scott, Jarom truly loves his company and cares about the people he works with. Jarom is a fan first. Like Scott, his “go-to” jokes and pop culture references are outdated. Both Scott and Jarom want to be liked and feel important and they each try hard to be cool. They both overestimate their ability. But my favorite connection is Jarom becomes Michael Scarn when Jarom tries to get serious or give deep analysis. In the end, like Scott, Jarom is surrounded by good people who seem to tolerate and like him a lot. In fairness, I heard the Jarom Michael Scott comparison from others, but couldn’t agree more.
