Officiating - about what you'd expect with a Big 10 crew. Blatant missed PI calls, a phantom face mask to put Wisconsin within the 10 on their last drive, etc. I hope Holmoe submits a formal complaint and these idiots never officiate again.

Detmer - proves what most have been fearing: no progression from last year to this year. Threw on third down when he should have run, ran on third down when he should have passed, really never had a good pulse of the game. Might be time to end "the experiment" and bring in someone more experienced.

Defense - played ok although Wisconsin's last drive was alarming. Missed assignments, missed tackles. Not sure if I'm more concerned about the lack of fundamentals or the lack or discipline. Some may say the overall performance was great (holding Wisconsin to their lowest point total of the season) but I say you tell a lot about a unit when it's crunch time. Their crunch time performance was poor so I must conclude they are poor. A lot to worry about moving forward.

Mangum - I know we don't like to attack players but seriously, is he only able to complete the lucky game winning passes? Scrambling TWICE on the final drive with less than 30 seconds left, he literally slid rather than trying to make a move on a DB. Good thing he's got the luck because he certainly wasn't making good decisions out there.

Overall - some of you idiots that know nothing about football may say "ooh we are undefeated and just beat a top 10 team." If you are thinking that you are completely missing the evidence that this team has gaps both with coaching and talent. Yeah it's great that we pulled out the win but hard to say that it was deserved.

Likely gonna see a letdown soon when a smarter opponent exploits the above gaps. I'll try to enjoy the win for now.
