You only hear the stories because athletes are in spotlight. You never hear of
the chemistry major getting caught. Any honor code violation by a student can and should be dealt with quietly, so that the student may return to good status. Athletes get hit by the violation and a much bigger embarrassment because of how public it becomes.
Leave him alone and quit assuming athletes are always in the wrong.
