That's not what the protesters do, however. They shout "NO!" Why? Because they want attention. When you don't stand for the anthem you're just demonstrating disrespect--and probably looking for attention. There is nothing said/sung in the anthem that should generate rebellion. It just tells the story of the flag and the revolutionary war. If you don't stand, you're basically saying this is not the land of the free nor the home of the brave. I don't know how you can argue that since slavery was long ago abolished.
