Austin Lee is not a good example.
He left Utah's team and started taking classes at SLCC before the season started last fall, and didn't announce his transfer to BYU until November - well after BYU and Utah had already played. He didn't start school at BYU and join the team until January. He left Utah before the season so he could start the clock on his required time to sit out, and is now eligible to play.
