LSU offered him as a 9th grader (and he committed). By the time his sophomore year of high school was over, there wasn't much communication between him and LSU anymore. They cooled down a lot. Whether his play on the field did not warrant an LSU scholarship, I'm not sure but it wasn't like BYU out recruited LSU on this kid. LSU turned down the heat on recruiting him. We didn't even offer him until March of this year.

Plus, Dinkleman is a nephew to Ty I believe.
