"The Church’s health guidelines prohibit alcoholic drinks, smoking...
...or chewing of tobacco, and 'hot drinks'”
Just a reminder, it's the "Church's health guidelines" that "prohibit" the consumption of--or indulgence in--any of these items. And so these "health guidelines" must be something quite different from the revelation given by the Lord as D&C sec 89. Cuz NOWHERE in that revelation is ANYTHING under heaven "prohibited" or otherwise commanded in the negative for the use of man (& woman).
Again, a challenge to Church members to distinguish between what is "wisdom" & what is "law" within the biblical tradition. (And while we're at it, to distinguish between what is "wine" and what is "strong drink", since the revelation given in D&C 89 clearly distinguishes between the two items.)
