I've lived in Utah for 31 years, and I'd say 90% of the people I've worked with, or who were hard core LDS in-laws, couldn't care less about BYU athletics. This has been bizarro world to me. I haven't been to church in 21 years. I get razzed by these people (some who don't care about sports, and many who support different schools). A few random examples... I have the client who lives next door to Robbie Bosco, and loves him to death, but is a hard core, and outspoken Yewt. I have the former business partner who is a huge Boise St fan (because he attended) and is as devout LDS as you can get. I have a ton of software developer colleagues and employees who'd rather play dungeons and dragons or magic the gathering than recognize neanderthal sports. I have a TON of family members who are Yewts, and a ton more that claim to be BYU fans, but ask me after games if they won or not.

It's hard for me to hate Yewt or Dairy Yewt fans. At least they like sports.
