He didn't have experience as a college OC. Everybody knew that.
It was debated among the fan-base how quickly that learning process would take. But fans set their own expectations. If some stupid fans had unrealistic expectations, that's their problem.
But Ty is a thoroughbred. He has the brains, the demeanor, the gifts. He will (can) be a great college or pro OC. No doubt in my mind. Whether or not he'll be given a chance to get there is debatable I suppose. But it seems silly me for fans to be so short-sighted.
Have we really become that Veruca-Salt-ish-grattify-me-NOW type fans? It's interesting to watch how fickle and short-sighted this fan base is. I would think if a different kind of fan-base existed in college football it would be at BYU. Guess I was wrong.
