After last years 9-4 season, and a softer schedule this year (on paper) there is no way I ever could have thought this season was possible. With such a soft back end to the schedule bowl eligibility seemed like a foregone conclusion.

The offense has been inept. It has been one of the worst in college football. Our talent level coming out of high school has been top 60. These coaches took top 60 recruiting classes and underperformed to an offense close to 120 in the various rankings. No matter the injuries, no matter the personnel, there is simply no excuse for what we saw on the field this year.

Our defense has not been good either. But it has been good enough to keep us competitive and in most games. They performed well enough this year to Expect more wins. It was painful today to watch 3 and out after 3 and out and our defense being put on short fields and back on the field with little to no rest. It’s actually surprising or D did not give up more points this year with how bad our offense was.


No coach can escape some blame. The Offensive coaches should not be back next year. They are so bad I am now questioning how Kalani can stay as well when he seems so clueless to why we did not run Squally more today and so clueless to how to fix things.

My only reason to save Kalani is because I truly believe he may feel he can’t go against Ty Detmer and win in the fans eyes or the AD’s eyes. I do believe if he has more experience around him he can be a good HC. But then, I wonder why he surrounded himself with this inexperienced staff.

One thing we can all agree on I believe: we cannot endure another year like this year.
