Almost every average statistical category in sports can be very misleading. Average points per game is no different.

Were we comparing BYU to the other top 50 ppg teams or were we talking specifically about how bad the offense has been under Detmer?

You may want to relook at your stats. The offense doesn’t get credit for defensive TDs, nor do they get credit for OT.
