Problems this year seem to be these:
#1. Lack of Discipline
#2. Inexperienced coaches
#3. Playing big schools in rebuilding year (Independance).
BYU has a great thing going in football, but seems to be letting it die on the vine. The church took a major back seat in technology for years. Finally figured out that it could be a good thing and spent many years getting technology where it needed to be. Seems that BYU football is a huge icon for the church, but the approach of yesterday, may be killing it slowly. If that happens, hope they don't regret it and realize just what they had. Football generates a lot of cash for the athletic program and university. If you don't have that, where does the funing come from???? At least anty up a little more and pay for some strategic coaching spots. OC, etc.
BYU football is an icon nationally. Hope the university recognizes the good it does. Seems that more and more, it's turning into a big neon sign that reads "good guys can't win". Wouldn't it be nice if BYU was known for good guys that CAN win? A little help / change in strategy and support, would go a long way.
