pretty much every time (he’s 1-4 so far vs tOSU & Michigan St., soon to be 1-5, with the one win coming in a close game over a 3-win MSU team), hasn’t won a big game in 3 years there, and hasn’t won his division yet (not sure he’s finished better than 3rd, actually). And Brady Hoke left him tons of talent to work with, so the cupboard was definitely not bare, despite the mediocre record — Michigan had more players drafted this year than any other school, by a fair margin.
He wasn’t hired to lose to Ohio State and Michigan State every year, and to finish 3rd in the division. If he doesn’t actually win something soon, and match the hype with results, I can’t imagine that he’ll be there much longer.
