...we're not blowing teams out per se but are grinding out wins and figuring out in each game how to get around what the other team is doing. That's a skill set that has been lacking during this losing streak. Utah has gotten out to quick starts, expended a lot of energy to start the game, and then hung on and coasted to a comfortable finish while we try to come back from the huge hole we dug for ourselves (the Illinois St game was sort of a synapsis of what Utah normally does to us). Utah had a good gameplan for making us anxious and forcing us into taking ill-advised shots.
They will bring size and try to force us to go bigger which won't play well for us. We need to spread the ball around, be purposeful in working it side to side and resist the urge of the past to force quick shots, make it difficult for their bigs to cover the corners, etc and hit open shots. If we do that we can force them to go small and work to our advantage.
