then bring back Ty to be the OC and the "good cop" role. I just gotta say, no matter who Kalani hires for offensive coaches, I'm going to have a very hard time cheering for Kalani as HC. I'm just not happy with him - he hasn't said a decent word about Ty for most of the season, and then almost no mention of him since firing possibly the most high-profile firing in BYU history - it's like Ty has ceased to exist - no comments even like "he's a great guy and great friend, and an amazing football mind, but we just needed to make a change to see if a different approach works better, since what ever we were doing wasn't working for whatever reason." None of that. It's not like there's not a protocol for that approach - it's kind of like what "most" coaches do when they bench a QB who's thrown 3 INT's for the backup - "just trying to change things up since what we were doing is not working." That's how you do it to prevent throwing anyone under the bus, as opposed to what Kalani did to Koy Detmer, JR, and worse to Ty. For neither TH or KS to say anything even remotely positive since the firing, of possibly the greatest BYU cougar ever - is despicable!
