I remember something Urban Meyer said once that impacted my feelings on referees
He said that he has never been a part of a game where the better team didn't win that particular day. Great coaches understand that you have to take ownership of what you CAN control and not what you can't. That statement could imply that referees didn't change the outcome. Notice this in a BYU game the next time it happens. Often when the fans are booing the refs, and the players are whining about calls, we struggle. You have to mentally move on and focus on your assignments. It is important to ride the refs so they watch for things, but you can't go on making excuses for a loss. A couple of calls are a minor impact compared with turning the ball over, missing shots and other mental mistakes.
