The biggest was the Big East. It lost its power conference status and had to bring in 6 C-USA schools to replace those that left.
Still an AQ conference, with most of its members still in place, it turned down a 9-year, $1B TV contract. Their original contract expired after realignment and they had to settle for a 7-year, $127M contract.
To replace the schools that left for the BE, C-USA then raided the Sun Belt who brought in WAC and FCS schools.
The WAC ceased to exist as a football conference.
And of course, MWC, as you mentioned.
