I did have a battery that died about a year after I originally got it, but EGO sent me a new one with more capacity and a charger for free and didn't even have me send in the old one. They said I could just drop it off anywhere that recycles old batteries. The replacement is going on 3 years now and hasn't had any problems.

I hate calling or going online for customer service, but I was pleasantly surprised with how easy this was.

I have a leaf blower and a chain saw from them now too and I like each of those too.
