One player, who played with Fouss and Saunders in HS says, “I feel like that's the best possible matchup." Interpreted by any player with a brain as a likely win. Then a different player, one of their top guards, says, “We're gonna look forward to that game because we think we can advance.” “That's about six more games after this one. That's not too many to us.” Now that's pretty much the definition of looking past BYU as just a bump in the road.
And finally, their coach refers to BYU as "Big and Strong." What? As another poster put, absolutely no one has described BYU that way all year. Is he possibly parroting what people say about BYU Football? For Pete's sake, our top post player is 6' 6," and although he's strong, our other players certainly wouldn't be described as prototypical "big and strong." BYU is more a talent and finesse team that plays hard, and is confident in themselves, but being "big and strong" is not necessarily their calling card. Shows this coach is pretty clueless about BYU, and likely less adept at preparing his team for what BYU brings to the table.
Things like this are "easy money" locker-room posterboard material, and should make us salivate.
