Was the old dishwasher a cheap model or high end one?
If it’s a low end one replace it, but there are plenty of high end models that I would pay 200 to repair, average price for new decent dishwashers is about 1K and delivery, installation and removal costs can get you close to $150 on that alone regardless of the model you pick
