Interesting tidbit for those that don't know:

Dan Monson was the HC of Gonzaga in 1999 when GU went to the Elite Eight as a 10 seed and kicked off the next quarter century for Gonzaga basketball (you probably knew that)...

But also, Arizona's Head Coach Tommy Lloyd got his coaching start because of Monson. Monson promised Lloyd a coaching job when his overseas basketball career was over. Monson had left Gonzaga for Minnesota by the time Lloyd called in the favor in the Summer of 1999, but newly minted GU coach Mark Few agreed to honor the commitment and gave Lloyd an unpaid administrative assistant role.
