We had a weird lack of chemistry or focus with the starting 5 the past few games, whether it was fatigue or injury, it's
hard to pinpoint, but the results were disasterous: Incredibly slow starts.
Even the press questioned Pope if he was going to mix it up, instead he chose to keep rolling with what we've done all year. I can respect that, but it'd be fair to argue he stuck with the lineup too long in the first half and I wouldn't have gone with the starting 5 at the start of the 2nd because of it. Both decisions cost us enough points to win the game.
Hindsight is easy for arm-chair coaches though. If he would have mixed up the starting lineup and we still would have lost, we'd be calling for his head for going Crowton on the team after they've proven to be a well-oiled machine.
They key now is for Pope to keep the team intact and encourage key players to return. If he can do that, we'll have the foundation for another great run next year.
