I admit I may be wrong on all of this. But, there are too many red flags on this
story that a reasonable person would have to keep asking questions. And current available information would lead a reasonable person to ask a) why would any reasonable person give access to personal accounts with millions of dollars in it? Thus, maybe it was Ohtani that made the payments for the gambling debts and b) if it was a reasonable person that had the gambling debts and the gambling debts were "normal and no big deal" gambling debts as you suggest, then why wouldn't that person just own it and fess up? and c) if you go to the full length to concoct a story about your friend in order to hide your gambling problem...then maybe, just maybe, there's a bigger problem with gambling on MLB games.

Now the weakest argument here is the first: Maybe super rich people like to give access to other people and enable them to make wire transfers from them without my knowledge. Since I have never been super rich...I don't have first hand knowledge of that.
