I wonder if the NIT could ever implement first or 2nd round tourney losers?

I would be a lot more interested in the NIT if teams that lost in the first or 2nd round of the NCAA tourny could opt in as a team that had a "bye" in the NIT.

Probably doesn't quite work logistically, but NIT needs to do something.
