part of the reason was the cost, OLED is significantly more expensive for the same size tv. I just wasn't sure it was worth it to me.

the other reason is my research, and the people at the stores concurred, says OLED is not as impressive when used in a brightly lit room or those with large windows nearby where the tv will be. that describes my living room exactly, so I went with the Sony Bravia X90L with the full array LED (which I think is similar in technology to the QLED you have now).

If I were putting this in a theater room or something, I would definitely have gone OLED.
