And to do that, he needs to have takes that diverge from the norm, but appear well-reasoned.
And if you look at almost every one of his comments, it's along the lines of "if any school or media members have questions, please contact me for a more in-depth presentation"
He consistently puts out products to try to advertise himself and get consulting gigs...
The only problem is that his takes aren't good. And that's not me saying it as a BYU fan being upset about where he ranked us. That's me saying it as someone who works with data and statistics and tries to use it to give fair takes (even when it sometimes upsets people on this board).
For example, the highlight that most here first notice and are astounded by is that Utah is ahead of us. But frankly, that's fair. Utah has had better on-field success, better viewership, better recruiting, and is an easier fit without the religious issues. BYU has better history (but you have to go back 20+ years to get there) and absolutely has growth upside as a recent P4 addition, but I get him putting Utah above us - they require less projection
But BYU behind Cincy? Or Vandy? Or Wake Forest or Boston College? That's absurd. He has BYU halfway between Houston and UConn.
Stanford above Florida St or Clemson? Cal above Miami or UNC?
I could frankly put together a better metric than this with a day's worth of work
