I don’t get its appeal. The main character is a jerk and shallow. I think he was mentally ill. The tons of swearing may have been revolutionary for their time but the language is now dated. Lots of very shallow dialog. Everything’s depressing or something the main character over-generalizes, despises or absolutely loves. Very binary / 2D.
