For the record, I'm puzzled by people who look for confrontation too

The guy who goes door to door selling something is probably less fearful of it than the average person.

Honestly, I think it's more strange for a person to answer a door and rudely point at his "No soliciting" sign than it is for a hardened salesman to knock on the door with the sign.
