Sitake hasn't proven he can consistently hire quality assistant coaches (like LaVell), and he hasn’t proven he can personally elevate the performance of either side of the ball in a hands on manner (like Bronco or Whittingham with defenses or Andy Reid with offenses).

I really like Jay Hill and hope he’s BYU’s next head coach, but he still has work to do in rebuilding the defense Tuiaki and Lamb decimated. And the Woods hire is still entirely TBD in my opinion. Given our QB pipeline and all those other factors, I would be shocked if BYU didn’t have a losing record by the end of the season.
