If you throw as hard as you can from a mound, this kind of thing can happen
The catcher's mitt is almost at your feet and your foot ends up below where it would with a normal throw.
Fred doesn't have an excuses for not finding a mound and taking a few practices to see exactly what would happen, but this doesn't mean he can't throw.

Football athleticism is size/strength/speed/agility. So many FB Players have 0 hand eye coordination or natural talent.
