They stretched the 1999 Matt Damon version of ‘The Talented Mr Ripley’
into an 8-episode series; it’s bound to be slow-moving.
We watched the movie, last night, for comparison. Same story but very different interpretation of the main character.
Both enjoyable viewing.

Anybody watched Ripley on Netflix? I just finished the first episode and it was painfully boring. Does it get better?

I finished it. I liked it a lot. It’s definitely slow though

It gets way better, but you have to enjoy a slow boil (a lot).

I finished it tonight. I enjoyed it once it got going. The Tom actor does a good job at playing an aloof creep/

Yeah, very good acting. Great, sparse dialogue. Very suspenseful.
