My wife hates them. They eat her plants and she considers them nasty creatures.
On Friday after work I saw two rabbits in my backyard and decided to shoo them away. I made a loud noise and started to run toward them but they didn’t budge. So I picked up a rock and threw it in their general direction. They barely moved. So I threw another one even closer and it bounced very close to one of the rabbits so they moved a bit.
Now they are probably 20 yards away and I’m thinking I’ll huck one more and see how close I can get it to them. So I throw the rock expecting to miss and it nails one of the rabbits and makes a pop sound. The rabbit flips over, twitches its leg a few seconds and lays still. About a minute later it twitches again and then nothing. I totally killed the rabbit with a rock.
I was very conflicted because wasn’t trying to kill it. I felt guilt (not Tim guilt ), remorse, sorrow … but still, it was one heck of a shot.
My wife just said congratulations, now clean it up.
