Because the person overseeing his section (some portion or component of engineering) was a person who was not qualified…but was a double minority.
He says quality went down (in Washington where he is) significantly over his decades at Boeing but they didn’t really have a voice to point out how unqualified his particular dept head was she is because Boeing is overly sensitive to diversity. (Even at the expense of quality)
He is super disappointed what the company became but says quality and experience are secondary to DEI type initiatives.
