turns out the 737 at IAH that turned off the runway too hot ran over a recessed
electrical junction box in the grass, which collapsed and then tore off the landing gear.

"The right turn to exit the runway was initiated at about 39 kts groundspeed and the aircraft departed the end of the paved surface at about 22 kts".
10 kts is the accepted maximum to make a 90 degree turn, or 12 mph in dry conditions. The runway was wet.

The pilot turned still doing 45 mph.
