There is been talk of Pope wanting to leave after his first season. BYU stuck with him after finishing 5th in the WCC in back-to-back years. He lost to UVU twice!

Rumors were that Madsen wanted the BYU job and reached out to BYU several times before heading out to Cal. Now BYU will have to pay a ridiculous buy-out to Cal to get Madsen or be stuck with something from the bottom of the discount bin at Walmart.

I wonder if BYU will learn their lesson with Kalani and Jay Hill or if BYU will let Jay Hill walk only to be stuck with no options for head coach a year or two later.
