About a year and a half ago, Mark Pope committed my then 6YO son to play for him one day. My son remembers this commitment. He's still planning on playing at BYU. Which is a good thing for us. The kid is a baller. He's 8 now, and is the best player on his rec team that went undefeated. He could probably beat me if I wasn't 2 feet taller than him.

I just told him the sad news about Mark Pope leaving, and he's pretty devastated. He doesn't want to play at BYU anymore.
